CHS, Inc. is looking for a Terminal Operations Specialist
(Supervisor Trainee) to join our TEMCO team, a joint venture
between Cargill and CHS, Inc., in Tacoma, WA to record and monitor
the loading of vessels/railcars and unloading of railcars with a
PLC system. Vessels and rail cars will be filled with agricultural
commodities to be distributed around the world.
-Responsibilities
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all
safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and
communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in
correcting unsafe actions or conditions
- Efficiently communicate both verbal and written to all
supervisors and labor work force
- Promptly report any safety concerns, maintenance needs or
repairs to supervisor.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety
requirements.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the commodities handled at
the location and comply with company policy and government
regulations pertaining to commodities.
- Control and monitor all load out and or unloading
functions.
- Monitor and maintain quality and quantity of inventory
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned. -Minimum
Qualifications (required)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience in production/operationsAdditional
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a federal background check and receive a
Transportation Workers Identification Card (T.W.I.C)
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Computer Science,
Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field
- Familiar with Microsoft 365, Excel, Access, One Note and Share
Point
- Lean Training/certification
