JOB DEFINITION:The Crisis Solution Center (CSC) Program is focused on stabilization, treatment, and referrals for up to 46 individuals at a time. The primary goal is to divert individuals impacted by mental illness and substance use disorders from hospital and jails by providing a more appropriate therapeutic alternative. The program receives referrals from first responders across King County, including police, medics, DMHP's and MCT. The Crisis Diversion Facility (CDF) is a 16-bed state-licensed Residential Treatment Facility and the Crisis Diversion Interim Services (CDIS) is a 30 bed step-down program which admits clients referred directly from CDF who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
In conjunction with the CDF and CDIS Project Managers, the Day Lead Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of day shift oversight, engagement and short-term case management services; monitor contractual and reporting obligations; and coordinating with other CSC Shift Supervisors to assure successful transition of consumers between CDF and CDIS projects and successful discharge back to community. The Lead Supervisor will have education and experience as a Mental Health Professional.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist CSC Project Managers in planning, implementation and coordination of client care and integration of CSC projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate the administrative and clinical activities of CDF/CDIS night staff, including progressive discipline and performance evaluations for 12 BHCM.
  • Over-site on new hire on-boarding and required trainings to ensure that all personal files are kept up to date.
  • With CDIS/CDF Project Managers plan and conduct agency's quality assurance activities.
  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures, relevant Washington Administrative Code, and King County Mental Health Division policies and procedures.
  • In cooperation with agency management and CSC staff, establish and maintain cooperative relationships with a broad spectrum of human service organizations that provide resources needed by mental health consumers.
  • Provide individual supervision and consultation to CSC MHP and BHCM case managers.
  • Assess each employee for strengths and training needs. Provide regular supervision, clinical consultation, 6-month/annual performance evaluations, cultivate a culture of giving and feedback.
  • Provide staff with clinical trainings such as risk assessment, harm reduction, trauma informed care, effective communication, documentation.
  • Facilitate team meetings in a manner, which promotes team members contributing in their areas of strength and learning as needed. Develop team cohesion, which effectively serves the client--le and provides the needed support for team members to effectively perform their job.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision, schedule over-site and support, to the Night Supervisor for CDF and CDIS services, including scheduling of individual team members, and coverage of office as needed; review and authorize supervisee time sheets; submit on time to payroll department.?
  • Guide and participate in appropriate delivery of screening/assessment activities to assure resources are used for the target population.
  • Review team clinical documentation to assure that team members maintain current and complete clinical records, and that records comply with the agency, state, and county clinical accountability policies and procedures and auditing purposes.
  • Coordinate and participate in psychiatric consultations, clinical supervision meetings, team meetings, program meetings, and in-service trainings of mental health program staff; participate in clinical reviews and case conferences.
  • Collaborate with non-mental health DESC staff to ensure continuity of care for consumers using other DESC services.
  • Attend and participate in relevant team meetings, agency-sponsored trainings and all-staff meetings.
  • Participate in program evaluation activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Eligible for a Licensed AAC credential or any other superseding credential that meets RCW 71.05.020 requirements to act as a Mental Health Professional whose scope of practice includes independently conducting mental health assessments and making mental health diagnoses.
    • Master's degree in social work, psychology or other relevant behavioral science or Bachelor of Nursing degree with specialty in mental health.
    • One or more years' experience in community based behavioral health services.
    • Experience working with adults experiencing homelessness, mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
    • Ability to drive an agency or personal vehicle to conduct agency related business. A current Washington State driver's license and insurable driving record are required.
    • Strong collaboration, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
    • Knowledge of Recovery focused, strengths-based work in mental health.
    • Knowledge of Harm Reduction and Trauma Informed strategies.
    • Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff from various backgrounds.
    • Subscribe to the philosophy of cooperation and continuity across programs and of consideration and respect for clients. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Licensed Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in State of Washington.
      • Qualified to provide Department of Health Approved Supervision to LICSW, LMFT and/or LMHC candidates.
      • Bi-lingual English/Spanish.
